What would a health care repeal mean for your wallet?
Health care reform passed last year, but not without a major party divide. And now, Republicans are attempting to have the law repealed.
But don’t worry: This repeal will likely never make it past the Democrat-controlled Senate, and in any case, President Obama will certainly veto it.
And this is good news for you and your wallet. The health benefits you won last year save you money in insurance and medical bills. Those who lucked out included 20-somethings (think: recent college grads) who earned the right to stay on mom or dad’s insurance through age 26, folks with pre-existing medical conditions who were previously denied coverage or charged exorbitant rates, and small business workers whose companies could finally afford to offer insurance.
So, for now, I encourage you to sit back, relax, and feel thankful for all the health care benefits set to roll out from now through 2014. But know that the battle may not be over yet.
Have you benefited from Obamacare?
