I taught Elmo about money!
Exciting news: Sesame Workshop just launched their financial education initiative, “For Me, for You, for Later: First Steps to Spending, Sharing, and Saving“—and yours truly got to teach Elmo about money!
The final product (all FREE!) includes a video featuring the hip-hop artist Common (!) and me showing Elmo the ins and outs of money, as well as guides for kids, parents, caregivers, and educators. You can view or download it all at sesamestreet.org/save and pncgrowupgreat.com, or find the video on Amazon.com VOD or iTunes (search for “Learn Along with Sesame”). One million packets will also be distributed for free at PNC bank branches.
This was a once-in-a-lifetime moment for me, and it’s a wonderful product for families. Please share the videos and guides with all the little kiddies you know (kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews!) and tell me their reactions or ask me a question.
Or check out my piece on Huffington Post.
